The Call FORWARD (part I)

People say that God often speaks to us in a ways that is easy for us to understand. I think he knows that I am an avid reader, he often either gives me little pictures or like these little narratives of a allegoric picture. Does that make sense? Like I’ll kind of see the picture as I write down what I’m seeing and he shows it or says it-in a very book like style. J Got to love him. So I’m getting at another one of these that he showed/told me and it was awesome. So whether you’re as obsessed with reading I am let this little thing speak to you and inspire you!

God took me to the scripture tonight while at a prayer time at my church.

“You rescue those who are humble, but you humiliate the proud.
Lord you have brought light to my life; my God, you light up my darkness.
In your strength I can crush and army; with m God I can scale any wall.
As for God, his way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock?
God arms me with strength; he has made my way safe.
He makes me as surefooted as a deer leading me safely along mountain heights.
He prepares me for battle; he strengthens me to draw a bow of bronze.
You have given me the shield of salvation. Your right hand supports me; your gentleness has made me great. “ -Psalm 18:27-35

So as I contemplated this awesome portion of scripture here is where the picture came in:

God gave me a picture of a great army before a wall. The rain falls from the sky, at the blast of a trumpet that the Prince in his glory lets out a battle cry at which the army raises their bronze bows that glimmer in the sun. The radiant light ours from the Prince as they release their arrows and all falls silent. The arrows sore true to their target beyond the wall. A hush falls over the army who look to their Commander . At his simple declaration of “forward” they run to the wall and begin to scale it with such great ease. As they begin to descend the wall a shofar blows in victory. The army then falls upon the great multitude who are bound in iron chains. As they chains shatter at their simple touch that is infused with the same radiance of their Prince, the bound one’s eyes open anew to the sight of the Prince and Commander standing upon the wall with a banner of victory raised high. Though the battle went on, the end had been determined. The battle cry is raised by the now free who join in their voices with that of the victory cry erupting from the Prince’s armed people. The wall is illuminated and falls beneath the glory and majesty of the victorious Prince. The wall is scaled, the army is enlarged and empowered with the strength of their Prince. The army advances with majestic light before them, sword of the Spirit at the ready. They go on, with the call of the Prince “FORWARD!” Forward to the next battle; forward to scale the next wall. To Release these others imprisoned in bondages, FORWARD they shout, forward with their battle cry. Forward through the rain.

Do you hear God’s call forward into battle? Forward, away from the complacency? Forward to scale the wall that seems so daunting? His strength will follow behind us with his light to guide. Ask God what he is calling you to. Hear the call of your Prince and Commander of war and move on, move deeper, move forward. His gentleness makes us great, yes, but he arms us with strength and prepares us for battle, and he is calling us FORWARD, what are you going to do?

What is a Zealot?

"Never be lacking in zeal, but have spiritual fervor serving the Lord" -Romans 12:11

A zealot, in this context, is one who lives thier life in order to personally KNOW the one known as Christ Jesus. He who lived, was crucified and rose again. He who all life is made to worhsip. This is a zealot.

Zeal is defined as a fervor for a person, place or cause. Enthusiastic, diligence or ardor.

Do you ever feel the wind on your face and just feel your breath catch as you realize in that wind is whisper of love from an eternal Creator? Do you ever read something in the WORD that makes your heart pound? Ever feel like you had tell someone the revelation God opened your eyes to?

I've felt that. And here is where I chose to share these things. Whatever you choose to call it, these truths, principles, revelations, whispers of love, or simply Words from God are things I felt I had to tell. Maybe they will impact you maybe not. All I know is that if one person hears God through this, that pounding slows, the weight on my chest lifts. All I know is if I hadn't placed these impressions in an accesible location for that one person to read and be impacted, then I would feel like I was doing an injustice to the truth God entrusted to my mind's understanding.
